KS3/4 Maths - New Maths Technology - In the Classroom
In this programme, the maths department at Tanbridge House School in Horsham embarks on a project to improve their teaching and make maths more stimulating by making better use of ICT in the classroom.
The teachers are introduced to some of the new technology and try out their newly-acquired skills in front of their pupils for the first time.
Each class then gets the opportunity to experiment with the new ICT resources:
- Year 7 investigate algebraic expressions using an interactive number line
- Year 8 have fun with time and distance graphs using a data plotting range-finder
- Year 9 explore rotational symmetry with dynamic geometry software
- Year 10 investigate a problem using the latest graphical calculators
