Secondary Shakespeare
In this episode we highlight three resources designed to assist the secondary teaching of Shakespeare.
Angela Rideout, consultant at Hounslow LA, recommends:
- Silent Shakespeare - a DVD from the British Film Institute
- Collins Teachit KS3 Interactive Packs - a series of four packs that can be updated and customised
- Improving The Teaching Of Shakespeare - DCSF guidance and lesson plans for KS3
Matthew Tosh takes a look at a couple of the resources in action, while Angela joins presenter Hermione Cockburn in the studio with panellists Dr Melanie Pope, assistant professor in English education at the University of Warwick, and Colin Hynson, freelance education consultant and writer.

English20 June 2008 - 12:18A good focus on three resources that you can dip into when approaching your Shakespeare lesson plans. What is particularly useful is that you can mix and match all three if you prefer and the programme offers a balanced view of how the resources can be used in the classroom. Great !
