Estelle Morris meets Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder and director of Kids Company, an innovative charity offering emotional and educational support to vulnerable young people.
Camila talks about her own life, her struggle to overcome dyslexia, and what it was like in the early days of establishing the inner-city charity. She describes the work of Kids Company, explaining how it sits beside the education system and within society as a whole.
A trained psychotherapist, Camila discusses the issue of mental health in challenging children, and the scientific advances which are shaping the therapeutic support the charity provides.

Having taught for 15 years in a Primary School that has had the P2B for many years, I am so encouraged by the rest of the work going on and intrigued as to what more can be done and what I can do.

the beautiful ones are still being born13 April 2008 - 02:10i think that the beautiful ones who wants to make the wolrd beautiful and full of hope, happiness , humour, joy, and light are still being born and day after day we hear and read of people who are holding a candle to lit it wherever there are dark corners in life and to save people from darkness of marginalization, lost and illietracy to the safe borders of love, intergration, lietracy and hope...
