Hard To Teach - Secondary Maths Using ICT
A group of maths teachers use ICT as they tackle three traditionally hard to teach topics with their pupils.
Year 9 girls in east London are given interactive geometry software to help them visualise and explore what is going on inside three-dimensional shapes.
Meanwhile, a Year 8 class in Walsall use handheld computer devices to look at quadratic number sequences for the first time.
And a Year 9 class in Wellingborough use dynamic geometry software to investigate circle theorems.
Part of a research project, these case studies have been developed with the Mathematical Association and the Association of Teachers of Mathematics.
