Girls Bullying
Experts explore the problem of girls bullying other girls and give tips on how to identify the symptoms as well as tackling the causes.
Because girls can be more subtle bullies than boys, using exclusion and verbal weapons rather than fists and fights, their actions can be more difficult to spot and change.
Ways to combat this type of bullying such as peer mentoring are seen in action at both primary and secondary level, as well as a creative drama workshop which helps girls explore their role when faced with these incidents in the classroom or playground.
One school shows how by running anti-bullying sessions they have been able to forewarn and forearm girls against the actions of bullies.

Long term effect of bullying4 December 2008 - 11:00This subject is close to my heart having been physically and mentally abused at home and school for the best part of my teenage years. The knock on effect and lack of self esteem that resulted has lasted well in to my thirties. I am lucky enough to have married a wonderful man who has helped me to find self respect and I am now teaching in a local school where my two children of six and seven attend. I am very keen to help the children in my school with self confidence using drama skills and activities in an attempt to raise awareness amoungst pupils and teachers of the devastating effects of even mild bullying. This programme has helped immensely. Thank you.

Girl Bullying24 November 2008 - 10:05Im glad this subject has come up I am a parent of a 13 year old recently there was a problem at school where she and annother girl where being bullied by a group of girls I contacted the school only for the school to inform me that this had been a problem since last year has my child was involved in a gang of girls around 21 of them including my child
has a parent I was upset saddend and outraged that the school could actually allow a group of 21 girls to be walking around the school, i was further outraged when her head of year told me once again what do I expect when we live in a ghetto area.
The school for years has been plauged with bullying since day one the problem with the school is that the school has changed names three times it was in special measure basically what happend was the school was underperforming in the 80s with a few other schools in the area they closed down the schools that where underperforming and opened up the school again with a new name and the same teachers just a handful from each performing school when that didnt work they changed it again.
There are kids going into school with guns knives and drugs the recent raids in mancester if under the freedom of information act I could actually obtain the amouont of secondary school age children that where actually arreasted in the recent raids in Manchester where they found guns and drugs you would find that has high has 50 per cent either go to or did attend my childs secondary school.
Has a parent im on the verge of having a nervous breakdown the school know whats going on but choose to ignore it as long as they are ticking the right boxes thats all that matters.
Ive allways told my child a bully is a coward and now i know its true my child is easily lead she aint no angle because no child is a angle and if a parent says that there in trouble a child has to make mistakes in life as long as that child learns from mistake then that is a positive soulution.
From my point of view I feel its instertutinally racial motivated at my childs school especially when the teacher told me we live in a ghetto area and what do I expect because most of the gang are of colour.
Im only 34 but the government need to bring back in national service and the cane and give back parent there right has parents when we decided to have a child I know I didnt have the government so why should the government be able to tell me has a parent how to discipline my child seven diffrent brothers seven diffrent minds.
I remember at primary school when I started to go off the rails i was talked to and given punnishment it didnt work I got the cane and it did the sheer shock and embarresment of walking through the big hall to my friends with tears in my eyes when I was this big hard girl.
Annother problem is girl bullying bulyying gangs girl gangs its only getting worse children are having children and the family unit has shut down i remember growing up and it was all about family but family view have changed parents are taking there kds for take out as they cant cook has there mum had them when they where a child and couldnt cook then they had there child and couldnt cook history repeating itself.
Its the generation of vipers something needs to be done but what I can only see this situation getting worse unless noah floods the earth again or charles darwins predictions come true that the world is gonna end.
