Independence Day
Teach First beginner Iesha Small is continually frustrated by her Year 10 Maths students' lack of independence and self-drive.
John Bayley visits Iesha at north London's Islington Green School where he observes the class before offering some expert advice.
Bayley helps Iesha to define the qualities that make an independent learner and suggests a number of strategies that she can employ to help motivate her class.
We return to the school one week after Bayley's feedback session and see Iesha putting his sound advice into practice, with encouraging results.
