Primary ICT SOS - Science
ICT SOS is a new series focusing on the real issues facing teachers using ICT in the classroom.
In this programme, we answer a plea for help from one primary teacher anxious to get more out of a digital microscope.
We also visit a Year 3 teacher who uses digital cameras to make sense of fractions and reveal a selection of useful ICT tips from teachers.

I use folders to divide my files according to which term and subject I am teaching. So, files for my Year 5 maths are in the folder 'Year 5 maths', which in turn is in my folder 'Summer term'.
So I don't have to think up names to similar files, I also date my files e.g. 'decimal fraction (020506)'. Because it is usually easier for me to find the date I used a particular file, dating my files helps me find it a lot quicker. Thankfully, MS Word can now take long file names.
P.S. I really liked the way fractions was taught in the film.
