Primary ICT SOS - Literacy
ICT SOS is a new series that answers some of the most common concerns about using ICT in the classroom.
In this programme, we cover the theme of story-telling in English and feature a masterclass on using animation software to aid the teaching of poetry.
We also feature an item on using digital cameras and photo-software in PSHE and, as always, there's a batch of top-tips from teachers.

ICT Top Tip3 August 2009 - 17:45This clip has inspired me to post my own 'Top Tip'!
Like many of us, I take numerous photographs of the children in my class undertaking practical activities. On a Friday, just before 'Golden Time' I show these pictures as a slide show on the IWB. We discuss the photos as a class. The children absolutely love seeing themselves and the discussion in suberb AFL... discussing their learning and evaluating it!
I also show photographs as a slide show during parents evening, I just leave it 'playing', although you have to reset your computers screensaver to keep the images running. Parents absolutely love it and it's a good talking point for them. I also have suitable background music playing to complete the 'ambience'!
Hope this is useful.
