Woodlands Wonderful Website
This programme focuses on the popular website set up by Woodlands Junior School in Tonbridge.
The website was created by ICT consultant Mandy Burrows when she was a teacher at the school and is attracting tens of thousands of visitors every day from around the world.
Barrows has built the site into a huge resource for both teachers and pupils, with 11,000 pages of information, ideas and games. A large part of the site is devoted to British customs which makes it a favourite for anyone researching life in Britain.

Acorns and Oak trees15 November 2007 - 19:54I've been a frequent user of the Woodlands site for over a year. I imagined a huge team put it together. I was amazed to discover it was put together by the lady in the back room who was ahead of the game because she knew how to change the ink cartridge in 1999. Watch out Google - it could become my prefered home page if it continues to evolve at the present rate.
Thank you for your energy and insight Mandy.

We are all in our first generation of web sites, but for our children, the web will become the source of information throught their lives, how apt it starts withihn the School system.
I will certainly pass this on to our WEB person and link governor, for thir encourament for the hours they have spent on the School's behafe.
