Better Learning with ICT - Data Handling in the Classroom
Year 2 teacher Lynne Hall is challenged to overcome her own fear of ICT in order to develop her teaching of data handling.
Data handling is often carried out using traditional pen and paper methods in the classroom. However, ICT offers an effective and simple way to teach data handling at all levels.
Lynne spends time with another primary teacher, Chris Thomas and learns about the benefits of using ICT to cut back on the data handling workload.
After observing Chris, who confidently uses ICT in data handling, Lynne heads back to her own school to create an engaging lesson for her pupils using ICT.
The support materials below, including advice from Becta, are designed to help you use ICT in your own classroom.
