Ecosystems - Exploitation
A quick introduction to the controversial issue of the industrial exploitation of Antarctica, designed for use with KS3/4 students.
As well as introducing the 1961 Antarctica Treaty, and the main areas the agreement covered, the video looks at the potential drawbacks if the area is mined for natural gas and oil.
Further discussion is encouraged at the end with a question for the pupils to debate.
