KS3/4 RE - Art Workshop
If you're a teacher lacking the confidence to incorporate art into your RE lessons, this programme could be for you.
Artist Paul Hobbs specialises in helping teachers to build their confidence; demonstrating basic techniques and providing them with the know-how to use art effectively.
In this workshop, we see teachers from a cross-section of London schools being shown how to use three such techniques.
Angela Saunders and Sue Wilkinson (Plumstead Manor School), Holly Boyd (Heston Community School), Helen Walsh (Islington Arts and Media School), Ellie Clay (Ellen Wilkinson School) and Louise Harris (Frances Bardsley School) later discuss how they could use these techniques in the classroom.

KS3/4 - Art Workshop & Integrating Art6 January 2007 - 00:04
As a teacher of primary RE, I found many avenues which I could open up in my own teaching from these two programmes. These programmes reaffirm the principle that space needs to made in RE for pupils to respond (AT2 "Learning FROM RE"); they need the chance to talk, unravel and unlock the ideas and truths within religion, and to work out what these can mean for them personally.
