KS3/4 RE - Integrating Art
Incorporating art into religious education can be an intimidating prospect, especially if you feel you lack artistic talent.
But Angela Saunders, one of the teachers featured in the KS3/4 RE programme, Art workshop, proves that it's easy to use art effectively.
Putting what she learnt from the workshop into practice, Angela road-tests the technique of "art sketchbook" during her Year 7 lesson on the Jewish Passover.
She is then joined by Paul Hobbs, the artist who led the art workshop, and RE consultant David Griffith, who help her reflect upon the success of the lesson.
This programme also offers practical advice on how best to utilise art in the classroom, ensuring that it helps bring religious material to life.
