Laters - A Restorative Approach in Schools
This programme follows the dramatised story of a group of students who are in conflict over the arrival of a threatening text message.
Following a series of misunderstandings, a fight between two pupils breaks out on school premises. Four of the students involved in the situation are offered the opportunity to participate in a restorative justice process.
By showing the various stages of a restorative conference, this programme highlights the way in which the process can sit alongside a school's disciplinary process and be used to reach a meaningful resolution of conflict.

conflict resolution skills need to be taught during early socialisation - ages 3 to 7 years - essential from the beginning of school life. What is happening in primary schools? What about conflict resolution education such as the Second Step programme in the US or 'Faustlos' in Germany? Is there anything like this in the UK?
